Chris French


Professor Chris French heads the Anomalistic Psychology Research Unit in the Department of Psychology, Goldsmiths College, University of London. He has worked at Goldsmiths since 1985 and was Head of Department from 1997 to 2000. He is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society, of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce, and of the Institute for Cultural Research. He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the British False Memory Society. His main research interest is in the psychology of paranormal belief and ostensibly paranormal experiences. He often appears on radio and television and in the national press, providing a sceptical perspective on paranormal and related claims.
