The World Skeptics Congress takes place at the Teatro Congressi "Pietro d'Abano" in Abano Terme, a thermal station very close both to Padova and to Venice. These cities are all in the Italian region called Veneto, North East of Italy.

A13 (Bologna-Padova):
Exit Terme Euganee

Leaving the A4 (Torino-Trieste) motorway at the Padova Ovest exit (Padua West). Leaving the A13 (Bologna- Padova) motorway at the Terme Euganee exit.

 

By train

Terme Euganee Station (Montegrotto) on the Padua-Bologna line. Otherwise: Padova Station - on the  Venice-Milan line. From here you can get a bus every 20 minutes (lines: A, M, T, AT) that get to Abano Terme (about 25 minutes drive). Taxi on demand.

 

By plane

The Marco Polo Airport in Venice is the closest (50 km to Abano Terme); from here you can get to Abano either by bus (direct line Airport-Abano, about 1h 20min) or by taxi (quite expensive, however). Other close airports are: Verona Airport (70 Km) and Treviso Airport (60 Km).
