Ray Hyman


Ray Hyman, Professor Emeritus in Psychology at the University of Oregon in Eugene, has been a leading figure in the skeptical movement since CSICOP and Skeptical Inquirer magazine were first conceived. He has published several books and articles on topics within the field and is the creator of The Skeptic's Toolbox - a weekend summer workshop sponsored by the Center for Inquiry Institute and offering invaluable guidance to paranormal investigators.
Hyman is a cognitive psychologist whose research and writings have focused on why smart people can seem so stupid. He has written books and more than 200 articles that critically evaluate paranormal and other fringe claims.
