Caroline Watt


Dr Watt is the longest serving member of research staff at the Koestler Parapsychology Unit (KPU) at Edinburgh University, and following Bob Morris's sad death she is currently Acting Head of the Unit. Her first degree is in psychology, then in 1986 she started work as a Research Associate at the KPU, just after Bob became the Koestler Professor. She obtained her PhD from Edinburgh University (under supervision of Professor Morris) in 1993 and since then has been a Research Fellow. Her main areas of research interest are experimenter effects in parapsychology, and the psychology of paranormal beliefs and experiences. She also teaches a final year course in parapsychology to psychology undergraduates. She is currently President of the Parapsychological Association.
